What Can Artificial Intelligence Not Do?

Picture this: the year is 2090, you are laying in bed when you tune into the news and see that robots have taken over New York City. Surely it can’t be true, but you have proof in front of your eyes that one of the biggest cities in the world is now being overcome with agents possessing Artificial Intelligence. 

It sounds a little crazy but really, it is not very far off from possible. Recently, artificial intelligence has been a prominent conversation starter amongst many people in the United States. Facebook, one of the largest companies in the world, abandoned an experiment they were attempting with two robots possessing artificial intelligence. After the robots started to speak to each other in their own language, one that was unfamiliar and undetectable to humans, experts decided the safest way to handle the situation was to shut the robots down until they were able to research more on the subject. Similar to this occurrence, earlier in the year, Google revealed that the AI it uses for its Translate tool had created its own language, which it would translate things into and then out of. However, the company was happy with that development and allowed it to continue.

If technology continues down the path it is today, the idea of robots interacting with people like they are human themselves is not a far-fetched idea. With this being possible, who is to say that one day robots do not plot to take over our human world.
